Policies

  • Payment is due in full at the time services are rendered, unless prior arrangements have been made in writing. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit/debit card, and any other methods agreed upon in advance.

  • I hold your scheduled appointment exclusively for you. Should you need to cancel any session, you have 24 hours from the time of your scheduled appointment to notify me (via email, text, phone call, or voicemail). You will be charged the full session fee if you do not provide a 24-hour notice of cancellation. No-show/late cancellation fees are waived if the session is rescheduled and attended within five business days.

  • I have a no secrets policy. This means that information shared individually with me (for example, during private conversations, individual check-ins, emails, or phone calls) may be brought into the joint sessions.

This policy is intended to create a foundation of openness and safety, and to avoid situations in which the therapist is placed in a position that could compromise neutrality, trust, or the effectiveness of treatment.

Couples counseling is not appropriate in all situations. I do not provide couples therapy under the following conditions:

    • Ongoing or recent domestic violence (including within the past six weeks), where there are concerns about safety, coercion, or intimidation.

    • Active substance abuse that significantly interferes with participation in therapy or the ability to engage in the process safely and effectively.

    • Ongoing infidelity or affairs that have not been disclosed or where there is reluctancy to disclose to the partner, as this conflicts with the “no secrets” policy and the foundation of transparent therapeutic work.

  • I am in-network with Medicaid.

I can provide Superbills once a month for clients who have and wish to use their out-of-network benefits. Please call your insurance company and check if clinical services are covered. Some questions you might ask include:

    • Do I have "out-of-network" mental health insurance benefits?

    • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

    • What is my "co-insurance"?

    • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

    • What is the coverage amount per session?

    • Is approval required from my primary care doctor?

In the instance where your out-of-network benefits cover mental health care, you are still responsible for payment at time your service is rendered, and once you submit your claims, your insurance will reimburse your expenses.

  • Investing in your mental health comes at a financial cost. In an effort to make mental healthcare more equitable and accessible, I offer discounted rates for members of marginalized identities.

Sliding scale rates start at $100 for individual therapy per 50-55 minute session and $120 for couples therapy per 50-55 minute session.

  • My hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (MT).

I offer in-person therapy exclusively on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (MT) at 3035 W 25th Ave., Denver, CO 80211.

I respond to texts, calls, and emails within 72 business hours (3 business days).
